Ashley Roberts (born 14 September 1981) is an American singer/dancer in the modern burlesque troupe The Pussycat Dolls, and a glamour model. She was born in Phoenix, Arizona. She began dancing when she was 3, and singing when she was 8. Her father was a drummer who played for the original Mamas and the Papas, he later became a car dealer and her mother is a Pilates instructor.
During high school summer breaks she had travelled to the West Coast to study modern dance. After high school she moved to Los Angeles. She appeared in TV commercials and a Counting Crows video. Within six months of her move she was also a Pussycat Doll.
Noting that when she sings she has a Marilyn Monroe-type voice, she says her onstage character is "flirtatious but innocent. She's a fun free spirit. I guess I'm 'the blonde' in the group but," she adds with a smile, "it ain't natural." In fact, Ashleys natural colour is a chocolaty brown (pics below!)
