'Melody is the best with fashion.. we have totally different tastes but she helps me with fashion' Nicole Scherzinger says.
She describes all the other dollz in the mag
Melody 'Shes makes us laugh and she stil has that high school chatty thing'
Jessica 'Jessicaz very lady-like.. she likes the 50's style thing
Kimberly 'Kimberlyz definetly the quietest in the group'
Carmit ' Shes the most wild one... but we all like a good night out
The pussycat dollz gave a very breif interview on t4 on the beach after they performed Buttonz and Dont Cha.
They were asked a range of questions given to them by members of the public.
When asked who has the best beach body and who is most likely to show it off, Kimberly said they all got good beach bodies.
'Yes, but I would kill for Nicoles stomach' Jessica said.
Interviewer: "Can we see your stomach Nicole?"
Nicole " watch the videos!!"
They were then asked "My mans always looking at the ladies, how can I make him stop?"
Carmit: "Its natural for them to look, whether they pursue it, its a different matter."
Nicole: "I was always told that they can go out for the appitiser as long as they come home for the main meal!"
Ashley: (laughs) "Thats a good one!"
How do you stop sand getting into your crevasses"
Ashley: " You know in the sand, it gets into that kind of places."
(Jessica tips up her heels to see sand dropping from inside them, everyone laughs.)
So how long are you staying in the UK?
Nicole: Well we just played Wembley, which was an honour, now were going to go back to the states and work on our next album, and just see what happens.
Sexy hitmakers The Pussycat Dolls were forced to dash out for clean lingerie before their breakfast TV performance in New York City yesterday morning after their luggage went missing on a flight from Ireland. The singers endured a nightmare trip from Dublin after airline computers crashed, leaving them desperate to find a flight back to America.
And, just to make matters worse, when they touched down in New York - just in time for their TV appearance on "Good Morning America" - their luggage didn't. Singer Nicole Scherzinger explains, "We lost our luggage so we got brand new underwear today and we're happy to be here. We're glad we made it. We missed all of our flights because the computers shut down in Dublin."
And the girls are dreading a trip back to Europe tonight to prepare for the opening of the opening of London store Harrods' summer sale, at which they're the guests of honor. Scherzinger adds, "We're going to London tonight; we're actually going back."
American pop group the Pussycat Dolls added a touch of glamour to the opening of the Harrods summer sale.
The all-girl band drew up outside the store in a horse-drawn carriage, accompanied by three bagpipers and a vintage Harrods van, to declare the sale officially on. The six singers blew kisses and waved to the waiting crowd before being welcomed by Harrods owner Mohamed al Fayed.
Before the group arrived, Mr al Fayed had greeted the throngs of bargain hunters, shaking hands and posing for photos. Shoppers were offered tea, coffee and water while they waited for the store to open.
As the band - Nicole Scherzinger, Ashley Roberts, Melody Thornton, Kimberly Wyatt, Carmit Bachar and Jessica Sutta - arrived, a gust of wind blew Ashley's skirt up. She was rescued by Mr al Fayed, who dived towards her to help cover her up.
Prince William had better watch out, as raunchy pop act The Pussycat Dolls are desperate to get close to him during their stay in the UK.
The Buttons beauties jetted into London to open the Harrods summer sale to the delight of fans yesterday.
But now their work is done, they are making a beeline for the handsome young prince, despite the fact he has a girlfriend, Kate Middleton.
Kimberly Wyatt gushes, "We absolutely love Prince William. He's good-looking, intelligent, charming, gentlemanly, the list goes on."
Nicole Scherzinger adds, "We are desperate to meet him. He's my dream guy. I really hope I'll see him while we're over here."
Jessica Sutta, a member of pop group the Pussycat Dolls, has spoken out about her supposed fling with James Blunt.
The 'You're Beautiful' singer broke up with long-term girlfriend Camilla Boler earlier this year, after reports emerged that he had been involved with a series of famous women.
However, Sutta is adamant that she had nothing to do with him. She told the Daily Mirror: "There's no way I'd date him."
Bandmate Nicole Scherzinger softened the blow, adding: "Don't be mean, he's my friend. I'm more into Johnny Depp though."
The Dolls gave a ten-minute interview the day before their performance of Sway on Wettan Dass in Germany. Melody spoke about her birthday which was the day before.
`Im 22 yayy! I got this dress im wearing from Ashley, umm what else did I get? Oh yes and I have weird dreams, so Carmit bought me a dream book so I can write them all down.`
When asked about the Deluxe album, PCD looked confused.
"Were having a Deluxe album?" asked Nicole Scherzinger.
Ashley adds "I dont know about that, but we are doing a headlining tour with Rhianna!"
Nicole spoke a bit about Rhianna and the upcoming tour, and says Rhianna is the "ultimate Pussycat Doll."

What is the most embaressing thing that you've ever done?
Ashley: Well, I really am a dork, so I have enough of
stupid things to tell! But in high school I was practicing some
cheerleader moves with my friend and everybody on the
basketball team was watching. When I made a big move, I fell
with my face hitting really hard on the ground. My friend just left me
alone just lying there!
Jessica: If I knew you that time, I really would stay with you.
What do you know about Holland?
Ashley: I know you can smoke pot here,
without getting caught. I think that's the first thing we learn
in America about Amsterdam. If I tried that yesterday by
myself? No comment!
What celeb would you wanna be, for just one day?
Ashley: I would like to be Tommy Lee. It would interest me
to be a man who is really wild, even if he is the opposite of me!
Jessica: Haha, then you will need to get a tattoo too!
What is the worst rumour that you've ever heard or read
about yourself?
Jessica: I read in a newspaper that I didn't became a ballerina because my
breasts were too big. The real
reason is that my knees aren't really strong. And my knees
are on another place than my boobs you know!
Ashley: There's nothing wrong with Jessica's boobies,
they just are beautiful.
Have you received any weird fanmail yet?
Jessica: Nope, not really weird ones. Well, yeah, I
have! I've gotten a proposal from a weird man. Then I thought:
Gee, I'm a shopaholic you know, are you sure that you can
handle me? But no, I haven't got any weird psychomail yet.
If you could change something about America, what
would it be?
Jessica: I would make the people more open. Here
in Europe they aren't really busy with some more skin, you
know. America is really conservative. And still the biggest men in
the USA do stuff that really cannot be accepted!
What is your favorite PCD song?
Kimberly: My fave song changes alot, especially
when we're singing the songs live. they change at
the concert. But right now its "Buttons".
What do I think of the videos? We made them extra hot.
What is the most embaressing thing that you've ever done?
Kimberly: Oh man! This is what happend not a too
long time ago. We got a stair on our set on stage and I
ran really fast into it.
If you have to do a sport in the world championship, what sport would you choose? (You cant choose dancing)
Carmit : Rythmic Gymnastics. That’s very funny actually, I did do world championships with this. Good question. I did that for 10 years, and I was in the national team. I went to Brussels once with the world championships.
How do you and Gwen know each other?
Carmit: Gwen is a good friend of mine. I met her at the shot of her first video as a dancer. I danced in the video "Bathwater" by No doubt. It clicked between me and Gwen. Then I went on tour with Ricky Martin and she with No Doubt, we compared our schedules and met in Japan and Korea. We became friends, and I invited her to dance in the show of the Pussycat Dolls. She brought some people from her record label and that’s why we got our contract
Melody: And now I got a job thanks to Gwen.
Do you sing under the shower, and which song?
Carmit: I DO!!! I live on the beach and my shower is like a box where the sound is very good. My boyfriend always has a laugh on it. Oops I spilled the beans (melody is laughs really hard)
Carmit: Have I turned red? Well now you know. What I say is Raul Midon, he is a singer who I love now. But that is all that comes to mind right now.
Have you met you’re own idols?
Nicole: One of my big idols is Whitney Houston, She is the reason that I started singing, she inspires me. She and Bobby Brown came to one of our shows, and I met her in the hall. She was the first and the last person who made me cry through singing. I thank her for all the impact she had on me.
How is it to be the lead singer of the Band? Are you the boss of the band?
Nicole: No, we are kind of like six cooks in one kitchen. Everybody has his role in this band and that’s how it works. We are all very close. It’s great to be the lead singer. But that’s because I have the most experience in singing. I did some cd’s before I joined the group. I did a few things from pop to opera. But I’m learning a lot from the other girls, I look up to them and its amazing that I am in this group with 5 other strong chicks.
How long does it take for you to prepare on a show?
Nicole: Very long, like two hours. First we start with a very long warm up, a lot of dancing to make you’re muscles warm. We roll are neck very loose or else we could get a stiff neck. Then we do some vocals, go into make up, get dressed. It takes a few hours.
What’s the difficult question you got?
Mel: This one
Carmit: I knew you’re gonna say that
Mel: Ok no. It’s the question what famous man do you think is hot? I don't want to name the same guy over and over again because you have to change because people will start to think that you are a slut because you like one man so much.
With which famous guy do you want to shop with?
Mel: Shopping? I got to think a nice guy with style?
Carmit: I know it: Usher
Mel: No I was gonna say Pharrell. He’s got different style’s so he is the ideal to shop with. And if it had to be a girl I would choose Lindsay Lohan, she shops so much I even heard that she has a shopping addiction.
What do you miss the most on tour?
Mel: My sister, I got tears already
Carmit: She does that the entire time and her sister to.
Mel: Every time when I have to travel, she takes me to the airport and the both of us are crying our eyes out. We are very close. She is one year older than me.
SCORING MEN WITH THE DOLLS!
The Pussycat Dolls with men, that's a good combination. And talking about it with Carmit and Melody is fun, cuz especially Melody is keeping her eye on the boys.
Carmit, of you we know that you have a boyfriend. But how are the other Dolls?
Carmit: Most of us are single.
Melody: I don't have a boyfriend
Carmit (whispers): But yesterday she did met someone!
Melody: Ahh, that's not true! Ok, he was cute. But that's why I'm single: I can do whatever I want. Travel the world and meet boys everywhere. Then I can tell to my kids when I'm old: I was on my holiday in Italy and that boy was dang fine... That kinda stories.
Carmit: Mel is just a sweet flirt, not a slut or something.
Melody: Hey! I'm 21. That's to young to stickwith a boy. I'm on a mission, I want to see as many boys as I can. Between the working and stuff, ey.
What kind of types of boys do you like?
Melody: I like boys who are a bit brown colored. And with wide shoulders. I love that he's a bit sporty, cuz then you'll know he wants to work for a good body. Oh, and he needs to be tall.
Carmit: This trough a mouth of a little girl like Mel!
Melody: Yes, but do you wanna know why? I have a theory that if I only date with tall boys, so that I also will marry a tall boy so that my kids at least aren't little.
Carmit: And she takes it seriouly! She's busy with her future, you can hear it by yourself.
Melody: Yea, I planned this whole thing a long time ago, and I can say to myself: brill plan.
And your type, Carmit?
Carmit: I like men with humour. He must make me laugh and must be spontanious. Also sportive, cuz I like being healthy and doing active things.
Melody: Yea, and if you win the basketball game of him, dang we have a problem.
Carmit: Exactly. Well, for the rest he needs to be charmy and sexy, and all the rest of that good things.
Wat was your most aweful date?
Melody: Well, I dated a boy who was a carfitter. He was coming to pick me up in a car that was half fixed, well the wheels almost fell off. He said it was one of the cars that he had to fix. I said to him that he needs to pick me up with one that is already fixed.
Carmit: I think dating is weird, I'm not fan of it. You have a click with someone, or you don't.
Who of you is the biggest flirt?
Melody: Me! and I admit it!
Carmit: I think its because of that she's the youngest one from the group, she's very exciting in everything. You can hear her everytime shouting: "Oh, he's soo cuuute!" and 'Hello, i'm here!'. It's so funny, we always can't stop laughing.
Melody: But now I'm not so confident as before, now they are indicating boys for me and they are trying to couple me with them.
Do you have anything which makes a boy not attractive?
Carmit: Arrogance. That sort of boys who think they are having it all.
Melody: Oh yea, and they are always telling about girls: 'I was out with her and her' that kinda behavior. Huuh!
Carmit: Throwing with money, or too many expensive jewels, eew.
Melody: I can't deal with him if he's knows for sure that he can have you like (snap) that.
Carmit: That's not going to happen, friend!
Which doll really needs a boyfriend? We can page it.
Melody: Well, nobody of us really needs one..
Carmit: Well, if there's nobody else of us.. Mell will do it.
Melody: Single girl, 1,60m, brown hair, brown eyes, brown skin, looking for someone just like her. Musicans are great, but if you are sportive, spontanious, ánd tall, please respond!
Heres a bunch of really funny interviews from Hitkrant Magazine (see mag scans page for pictures).
Melody
What kinda types of boys you fell in love with?
I fall in love with boys that have a good body. Yeah, it maybe sounds kinda superficial, but i'm still young, so why couldn't i get away with muscles? Ofcourse he has to have a bit of intelligence.
Did you ever asked a guy and his answer was 'no'?
Not very often, but every girl is one time rejected, right? I don't bother, if you don't take risks, you don't have a nice date. Sometimes it turns out that you don't match with the guy.
Ashley
On which popstar you fell in love with as a teenager?
I was not really into popstars, i rather watched the boys that lived in my street. I remember that my grandma was a huge fan of George Micheal, and the only thing i thought was: yeah sure grandma, hot boy... NOT!
Do you have anything which makes a boy not attractive?
If he behaives himself like a arrogant [beep]. A boy can be a bit selfconfidence, but not too much, because im getting confused of it. I'm really a dork with boys, so he has to give me a good feeling.
Nicole
Did you have much dates on school?
No, not at all, i was too shy for it. When i finally met a nice boy, we were seven years together. I even got for a little time engaged with him.
What was your reason to dump a boy?
If he's mean to me. I think all girls agree with me: you must treat a girl with respect. If not, byebye boy.
Carmit
How would you discribe your perfect boyfriend?
Oh, that's easy: he's funny, has got style, and not unimportant: he must can dance. Let's be honest, i wouldnt bother if he's got a sixpack too..
What will be your perfect date?
Perfect date? I hate dating! Dating is fake, for dorks. It clicks with a boy, or not. I know that by 5 minutes, so i don't need boring dates for that!
Kimberly
How do you make a boy likes you? (hoe versier jij een jongen, help vertaling!)
Erm,... not? Everyone thinks we are huge temptations, because we are the pussycat dolls, but honestly i'm too shy to step on to a boy. I always hope he comes to me.
What is the most romantic placewhere you kissed a boy?
In a lifesaverboat! I have worked for a time at a ship, so that's why. Ofcourse we weren't allowed, but we just crawled in, and then he kissed me there!
Jessica
When did you discover you get attention from from boys?
That was on secondairy school in the first class. Boys were mean to me an my mother said to me: "that's because they like you." I was a realy flirt at those times, now i am a bit more detached.
Do you have a boyfriend right now?
No, i don't have the time to date. I've read a couple of days ago in a tabloid that i have an affaire with James Blunt. That's absolutly not true, i even don't have his phonenumber!
TEXT JILL WAAS
Is there somebody in PCD with who you are really close with?
Ashley: i'm close with all girls, but a little bit more with jessica and kimberly.
Jessica: I am really close with Ash, she became a really good friend of mine. And i love nicole. Ofcourse i love all girls, but i can talk so well with her.
Carmit told us accidentally she's got a boyfriend, so there ARE pcd-boyfriends!
Jessica: this is even better: i know ashley by her boyfriend! When i was like, 14 years old, i danced with him. When i came to LA, Camit was one of the first people i knew!
But, your boyfriends?
Jessica: Nope, it hard to find somebody that understands what we are doing and that accepts.
Ashley: Yeah, the most boys just don't understand, why we can't spent more time with them.
Could you date anyone who isn't famous?
Jessica: nope, i don't think so. you know what the problem is? He needs to be strong, and not insecure, he has to share you with the rest of the world. If you are having a fight with him, it is hard for him to understand that he is the only one for you.
That would be thesame as you each got a boyfriend who is in a guygroup. Can you handle that?
Ashley: No, i would find that hard too! i wouldn't be jalous at the attention of all the other girls, but that he spends his time more with his fans than with me, that would be difficult.
What do your parents think of all those sexy outfits?
Jessica: Well, the outfits are sexy. But i think we never get too far, we arent doing exhibitic things. Our parents do know that too, and they trust us. My mom didn't like our name at all in the beginning, it was kinda rude. But when she saw our show: she said it was the coolest thing she's even seen. And now she's with us every time!
Ashley: my father was already in the bizz, so he did understand. My parents supported me from the beginning! And what Jessie says: it's totally true: our moms are having a good time together!
Hey Girls, at last you are performing at Amsterdam. Have you seen anything of the city?
Nicole: 'Yeah, cause we had nothing to do yesterday. It was awesome, cause at last we could see by ourselves why everyone always was so much enthousiastic about Amsterdam.'
You scored four hits, but the songs aren't new, right? How did the Pussycat Dolls started?
Kimberly: 'The group excisted already ten years, as a underground danceshow with the old fashion look. They even sing as well. The show became more popular, and many artists would love to performe with us, because of that. Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, Brittany Murphy.. The list with famous babes who has performed with is, is now a really long list. Then we've got our contract.'
How did that happen?
Kimberly: 'At a time came Gwen Stefani, and she brought some people of the recordcompany. They were stunned about us,they wanted to get an popgroupversion of the Pussycat Dolls. That was two and a half years ago. Before that happend the group was really big, cause every show, other dolls performed along. Exclusive for the recorddeal we have got ourselfes refreshed, since then we are with six Pussycat Dolls.'
Were you already in this formation?
Kimberly: 'Yeah, i was already in the Pussycat Dolls group by about two years. Carmit has the most pussycat-years of all of us, she is almost from the beginning in the 'band' (almost ten years ago). Alshey was next, then came Jessica and me, the last one was Melody. Nicole came on board when we formed the now famous group Pussycat Dolls, as you know them now.'
What do you think, what has changed about the Pussycat Dolls, when you think of the first ones?
Nicole: 'The Pussycat Dolls aren't just an sing or dancegroup, they are a style. The clothing is different. We are six strong women, we can handle everyone. These six girls are going to take over the world, cause we can't sleep till the Doll Domination.'
Do you use any special rituals before going on stage?
Nicole: 'I always pray, and ask God if it will be an awesome show. I pray for all of us, not for me alone.'
Kimberly: 'As a group, we always stand in a circle, hold eachothers hand, and shout: 'One, two, three, PCD!'
Nicole: 'By doing that, we raise the groupfeeling and bring ourselves into the correct mood to kick some serious ass. And that is what we are going to do now.'
INTERVIEW: TANJA SPAANDER / PICTURES: WILLIAM RUTTEN
-----Nicole-----
Who's she?
Carmit: Nicole is funny, beautiful and she works really hard. We are all perfectionists, but Nic is always earlier on the rehersels, that kinda things. She's still the face of the group and that gives extra pressure.
Fun?
Melody: She's so sweet. Some people easilty think that shes a diva.
Annoying?
Melody: She always talks through you if you're talking. Luckily, we always laugh about it.
-----Kimberly-----
Who's she?
Melody: Kimberly has two different styles. In the real life shes a bit more reserved. She tells jokes, but mostly shes the girl whos laughing at the background. At the same
time on stage, she's going wild. She looks like another person on stage.
Fun?
Melody: She is extremely generous. She always gives us beautiful stuff.
Annoying?
Carmit: her morning mood. You can't hear her at the morning, she's so high that you can't talk to her.
-----Jessica-----
Who's she?
Kimberly: Jessica is a real lady. She's always classy and talks really neat. Her nickname is 'Pin-up Angel', because she's a real timeless beauty. She ALWAYS wears high heels.
Nicole: Even if we are travelling and running down the airport. We really have no idea how she maitains that.
Fun?
Kimberly: She has a huge heart, also for others. She will never really hurt anyone, she really is bushy with the other.
Annoying?
Nicole: Well, maybe the high heels. On he it looks like you can easily walk, run and everything else on those heels. And ofcourse its not for us!
-----Ashley-----
Who's she?
Kimberly: Ashley is totally mad.
Nicole: Yeah, Ashley really is the clown of the group. She is always playful, but on stage, she can be really HOT.
Fun?
Kimberly: She always makes us laugh. A couple of days ago we had an interview and we had to say who we are, to meet us. And Ashley just said she hasn't got any
cartilage in her nose and that she can form it in every way, hahaha.
Annoying?
Nicole: Lately it happens many times that Ashley is gone when we're having dinner. And we can't find her back.
Kimberly: Yeah, we've lost her many times.
-----Carmit-----
Who's she?
Jessica: She's just one big ball of energy, on stage she is even worse. She can sing ánd dance ánd a lot more, in Carmit are hiding many talents.
Ashley: She laughs really loud. I was totally on the other side of the plane, but still i could hear lauging her from there.
Fun?
Jessica: She always has a good advice and you can come to her to talk everytime. From all of us, Carmit has the most experience. Carmit is a really good friend.
Annoying?
Ashley: It's not really annoying, but with her loud laughing she wakes us in the morning.
-----Melody-----
Who's she?
Jessica: Mel has got an really good sense of style. I think she needed to be born in the sixties. She's the youngest one of the group and she just ended her school when she came in our group.
Fun?
Ashley: Her style, ans besides of that shes really funny. And her memory is so good, it's sometimes pretty scary. She can still quote the old tvshows word by word.
Annoying?
Jessica: Melody is too early awake! Earlier than everybody. So she is making some coffee and just talking and stuff, and so we shout to her: shut up!
Pussycat Doll Nicole Snares Timbaland, Will.I.Am For Solo LP
Singer's debut due early 2007; PCD's second album is in the works.
By Corey Moss
Nicole Scherzinger is in a bind. Because, well, her name is Nicole Scherzinger.
Nothing against the Pussycat Dolls singer, but it's just not one of those obvious pop-star names — then again, neither was Christina Aguilera. Though she's often identified as "Nicole from the Pussycat Dolls," Scherzinger isn't exactly sure what moniker to put on her debut solo album, due in early 2007.
"Maybe Nicole Scherzinger, maybe just Nicole — definitely nothing to do with the Pussycat Dolls," she said last week. "Fergie got her name from her last name, Ferguson. I guess people can call me Scherzie ... or Zinger." Or not.
Whatever she picks, Scherzinger is confident the yet-untitled album will make a name for her outside of the Dolls. "I'm excited because it's really fresh, something new," she said. "I like to sing a lot of styles and kinds of music, so it's kind of an infusion of all kinds of things."
Of course, Nicole is not the first singer to claim a vast variety of influences, but at least she's put her music where her mouth is. Her recording career so far has included singing backup for late-'90s rockers Days of the New, fronting the girl group Eden's Crush (formed on the pre-"American Idol" show "Popstars"), covering "Breakfast in Bed" for the "50 First Dates" soundtrack (under the pseudonym Nicole Kea) and collaborating with a Spanish starlet (Belinda), an Italian opera singer (Vittorio Grigolo) and plenty of rappers (Will Smith, Shaggy, and, most notably, Diddy).
"I'd never met Diddy in my life," she said of her co-star on the current hit "Come to Me," from Diddy's Press Play. "We were actually on tour, I was about to go onstage to do a huge French television show and [my managers] were like, 'Diddy wants to talk to you.' I was totally nervous. I get on the phone and he's like, 'I saw you in that video, "Buttons." I've studied you, watched everything you do, you've got the eye of the tiger. I want you to do this song with me, the first single off of my last album.' And I freaked out."
"She's definitely, to me, one of the next female superstars," Diddy told MTV News in August (see "Diddy On Singing Debut: 'I Represent All Of The Shower Singers Out There' "). But while the Bad Boy guru has yet to return the favor on Scherzinger's LP, she collaborated with a host of other big names for her album, including Akon, Polow Da Don, Sean Garrett, Kara DioGuardi (who wrote an Eden's Crush song back in the day), Timbaland (who also got Nicole to sing on his upcoming album) and Will.I.Am.
"We were on tour with the Black Eyed Peas, so me and him had a studio bus that we played around in a lot," Nicole said of Will.I.Am (see "Black Eyed Peas Unveil Dates For Headlining Trek, Tap Pussycat Dolls As Openers"). "We're working on a song that's really unexpected. I don't think you would realize that it's Will singing on the track."
Scherzinger's not revealing other song details quite yet, but said some tracks date back to when the Dolls first finished their album and she got right back into the studio. And as for the burlesque dance troupe-turned-pop group, Nicole's solo venture isn't marking their end.
"Hopefully I'll make them even bigger," she said. "We're going to do a second album and I've kind of written some stuff keeping them in mind as well." The Pussycat Dolls are also continuing to push their debut, PCD, and just signed on to tour with Christina Aguilera (see "Christina Aguilera's Heading Back On Tour For 41 North American Dates").
"We're going to have some new songs with new elements, new choreography, some fresh looks," Scherzinger said. "It's an honor to be on tour with Christina because we respect her not only as a top female artist today, but also as a vocalist. And we definitely want those fans behind us."
At some point in the future, Nicole also plans to return to her roots in acting. She had bit parts on the TV shows "My Wife and Kids" and "Las Vegas," as well as the movies "Love Don't Cost a Thing" and "Chasing Papi" before joining the Dolls.
"That's what I went to college for," she said. "I really take my acting seriously and anything I do, I don't want to do it half-ass. If it's the right time, the right script or the right role, I'm going to do it — but it will all come in good time."

JESSICA~ Yeah, we owe alot to our British fans, they were the first people to really accept the group, love us as a whole and when we talk about our favourite fans, we always say England.
Do you watch what you eat and diet loads?
ALL~ (Laughs)
KIMBERLY~ We dont really have a schedule. We like to work out but when we're travelling and tired, rest is more important. Food is not always as accessable.
MELODY~ When i'm at home, then I could get really big so I watch what I eat but if i'm moving with the hustle and bustle of shows its terrible. When you have jeg lag or something its like "I just need a bite of something."
Do you have any tips for staying in shape?
MELODY~ Try not to eat too late, it really does make a difference 'cos you wake up with that stomach ache and its like a back ache too!
CARMIT~ Drink water, lots of water.
JESSICA~ And really small meals every couple of hours.
ASHLEY~ We all like to eat, our show is 45 minutes or straight cardio so thats our workout.
What are your guilty pleasures?
JESSICA~ Salt and vinegar crisps. Carmit always has stuff in her handbag. Im like "I need some sweets" and she pulls out a Twix! Carmit's bag is Mary Poppin's bag, all of a sudden I look over and she has a tangerine out!
CARMIT~ I'll never forget, we all roomed together and it was late and Melody had Oreo cookies in bed and she fell asleep with the wrappers all over her!
JESSICA~ There was another time with Teddy Grahams, I had a bag of them and Melody was asleep but you'd here (taps on the table) as she'd reach for one in her sleep!
We have heard you are auditioning for a new member. Why?
ASHLEY~ We have a show coming out and we just want to see whats out there. We know how hard it was for us and we want to give someone else the opportunity.....
NICOLE~ And the inspiration to follow their dreams. Our motto is: inside every woman there is a Pussycat Doll and we intend to find that.
Have you seen anybody audition yet?
NICOLE~ We've heard theres some really good people, we've heard theres some bad people too.
MELODY~ Isn't that the best part?
CARMIT~ Its like any show where people come off the street and audition, but you know, we are all trained professionals so i'm sure there are alot of girls out there who are training all their lives just to be like us and this would be a dream come true.
JESSICA~ But it does make good television so even if you can't sing, come on down!
NICOLE~ If somebody is passionate about what they do, theres always room to work it.
Is passion they most important part of being a doll?
CARMIT~ Passion and training. Theres a lot of training to doing what we do and we've all trained for a long time.
JESSICA~ I think its a big realisation they are going to find out its not just glitz and glamour in this industry and its going to be very tough for that person.
Whats the hardest part about being a PCD?
JESSICA~ The hours are a little rough, we flew off in a 10 hour flight to London, then had a show 3 hours later. Its about not taking much time for yourself but knowing its all worth it.
Whats the best bit about being a doll?
NICOLE~ The fans!
CARMIT~ Performing all over the world and meeting people across the globe - theres nothing else that builds your spirit.
Have you ever had any mad fans?
MELODY~ All the time. Sometimes its exciting, and other times were like, Oh that scares me! We're like flight attendants in that we are in and out of hotels and they are trained to check their room as they walk in and make sure everything is okay. I've been doing that!
Have you had a fan in your room before then?
MELODY~ If I did, they'd lose their head! I'm sorry, even if it was like "Yeah, I just want your autograph", I dont care, I'm gonna fight!
CARMIT~ Theres something called privacy and when you stay in a hotel, you want your room and privacy. The fans are great when they are there for us at like two o' clock in the morning- we're like "Do you sleep?!"
MELODY~ Sometimes they can get frustrated cos' they have been out there all night and we might be sick or tired and just want to go straight to bed, they get mad! But, sorry, I didn't ask you to stay the night! You appreciate it, of course. There are times when were like "Woo!", and we could sign all day and night.
Do you ever recognise them?
ASHLEY~ Oh yeah, all the time.
MELODY~ Those are the ones I really like singing too, its like "You're still here! It's been a year!"
Nicole, tell us about your solo career!
NICOLE~ I've done records with like P Diddy, but im still a Pussycat Doll.
JESSICA~ We're really supportive of Nicole, really excited for her. Its going to be great for her and we're going to start our album in January so it'll be like a big family of albums.
Have you guys been tempted to do solo stuff?
CARMIT~ Sure, all of us have aspirations to do solo projects-not just music- but this will always be our home.
Whats been your highlight of 2006?
ALL~ The MTV Video Music Awards!
JESSICA~ The surprise and shock of winning. The screaming and running out there, touching all the fans' hands, the live moment was like "Yeah!!"
CARMIT~ I still get choked up just thinking about it. Melody even pulled out her Sidekick (like a Blackberry) because she forgot who to thank!
MELODY~ I was like "I'm taking my moment. Hi Mom!" My dad and sister were like "Why didn't you thank me?!"
ASHLEY~ I cant wait to get the award back.
Do you not have it?
NICOLE~ No, there mailing them.
You get one each?
ALL~ Yeah!
Yam: Your new single is called "I Don't Need A Man". Are you serious about that?
Nicole: We want men! And we love men! But we need our own anthem for independent and strong girls! That's the point: Powergirls! We don't need men to survive...
Melody: That's right. It means that we are strong without boys as well.
Yam: What is more important - your friendship or a relationship with a man.
Carmit: Friendship is on any account more important. That's where all begins, even in the love. Before you go to bed with somebody, there should be a friendship as basis. When you can't see each other in the eyes, then it makes no sense.
Yam: Wich requirements does a man need, to win your hearts?
Ashley: Of course he must have rhythm in the blood! He could be the most pretty man in the world... Once there was a boy in my highschool, who was really hot. Everyone wanted to date him. Then I saw him on the dancefloor of a party and he hadn't got a bit of rhythm! After that I went home, because this only turned me off.
Carmit: You don't even have to dance really good. It depends on how you move!
Jessica: You can still save something with humour. Don't take yourself too seriously!
Yam: Nicole, recently you kissed 50 Cent - on the lips...
Nicole: Oh, really? Where has this been?
Yam: At the MTV Video Music Awards Aftershow-Party.
Nicole: Aftershow-Party? No, I would never do that (laughs)! But 50 Cent is like a brother to me, a really good friend! We just won this great Moonman and after that I stormed out of the the stage. Fifty sat in the audience, looked at me and said "Hey girl!". In the showbiz it's normal, that you kiss everyone you meet!
Yam: Really everybody?
Nicole: Yes, otherwise it would be disrespectful. The kiss with 50 Cent was a truly proof for our friendship. There's nothing more.
Carmit: I can witness this! In other places, you welcome each other with a kiss on the left and right on the cheek. That's the same.
Yam: Is it difficult for you to build up a relationship, that exceeds a friendship?
Ashley: We work very hard. There's almost no time for love. It isn't even easy to keep the contact to your family...
Jessica: We must give our private life for our careers! Unfortunately we always have to wait for it. But therefore we have the great luck that we are very successful in our job!
